Congratulations to our Club members who completed the Killarney Ultimate High Peaks Challenge on 26th August. The ultimate test of stamina and endurance on the highest mountain range in the country. 25km of challenging mountain terrain, ticking off 13 summits with a total height gain of over 2500m in tough conditions.

Bandon Hillwalking Club are holding an Open Day in the Galty Mountains on Sunday the 25th of June in the Lough Muskry area. A free bus will leaving Kellihers, Bandon at 8am.
Clare O'Leary, renowned international adventurer will be joining us on the day. We intend to all walk together along forest tracks towards Lough Muskry for about one hour, where the group shall split into 5 groups depending on your interests. We'll have walks suitable for all abilities with focus on the following subjects:
1. Flora walk
2. Geology walk
3. Photography walk
4. General Hill Walk
5. Grade 1 scrambling walk
We will walk and talk for approx 2 hrs and then meet at Lough Muskry where we will have a Q+A session with some tea and coffee before we head back as a group to where we started.
